How it all started...
Mercy Gate Box Elder was planted by Andy Daniel and his wife, Tabitha Daniel in May of 2021. Andy was saved out of drug addiction in 2014 and discipled by men like John Stroup and Mike Estell, among many others. Andy holds a bachelors and masters degree from the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
The church began meeting in their Box Elder home but quickly outgrew the space.
On Easter Sunday 17 April, 2022, the church moved into 475 Villa Drive. By the grace of God, the church quickly began to outgrow that space.
A 12,000 sq ft, 5 acre property owned by the Dakota Baptist Convention was gifted to the church at 400 225th Street and services started there on 4 February 2023.

Property History...
The church in this part of South Dakota has a long and fruitful history. The property at 400 225th Street was planted as Temple Baptist Church on May 11th, 1958. By June 1958 the church purchased two Air Force Barracks to meet in, one of which still stands, and by the end of the year had added the current brick building. Box Elder was incorporated in 1965. Temple Baptist Church became Paradigm Church sometime after 2012, and then became Outreach Community Church. A rich heritage of outreach, salvation, baptisms, and church plants can be traced to the church in Box Elder, and we are thankful for the saints who came before us, and we are praying for laborers to come into the fields which are rich for harvest today!
Expanding the vision...
We rely heavily on missions teams from around the United States to help us knock on doors, host block parties, and perform service projects. We could not have done this without you!
Where we are headed...
We ordained two deacons in 2023 and have baptized dozens of new converts. Our goal is to help plant more churches in Box Elder and the surrounding area. But above all we are committed to loving our neighbors and reaching the lost in Box Elder, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, South Dakota, and to the ends of the earth!
Box Elder is experiencing rapid physical growth, and we pray that God would work mightily in giving spiritual growth!
Christ we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this we toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within us!
